About

Welcome

Hi, I’m Maxwell. I write with a quarter of a century’s worth of investment and wealth building experience. I hold an MBA covering Finance, Accounting, and Technology, along with an Engineering degree in Computer Systems.

From this blend of education and hands-on experience, I’ve learned what works well within Australia. It’s this knowledge that allows me to cut through the noise and present clear, actionable insights that you can use to optimise your wealth and financial stability.

My journey hasn’t always been smooth. I’ve encountered numerous hurdles along the way. I was paying ‘professionals’ to set up financial structures, only to find they were flawed and needed redoing. I was handed hastily-prepared, inaccurate financial statements with no visibility into how they were put together. Even after paying a lot for financial work, I witnessed a stark lack of quality control.

Adding to the frustration, I also trawled through an ocean of dry, tedious content.

So I went rogue. Driven by the pursuit of knowledge and the desire for self-sufficiency, I dived deep into research.

Validating what I learned, I engaged professionals, consulting with the experts. Armed with newfound confidence and insights, I chose the DIY route, as much as I could. What I found was a cheaper, higher quality outcome compared to what I had before.

Now, I handle as much as possible on my own. This approach to self-education has not only enriched my understanding but also drastically improved my financial decision-making skills.
